i wanted to do a post on the words that we sayyyy.....

right now, i am memorizing the whole book of James from the Bible, so i have been learning a lot from some of the verses that i have been reading/reciting every day.
one of the things from some of the verses that has really hit me hard is about the words that we say to others.
it can only take less than a minute to say something mean or something we regret to somebody, but those words can change somebody's whole life!
i know that is hard to imagine, but it is really true, if you say something to somebody like "you're ugly!" as easy and stupid that is to say, they could spend their whole life hurt because they weren't confident in their own skin anymore, and they could spend the rest of their life trying to "fix" what they looked like.

here is a quote that is really true:

"it only takes a second to call a girl fat and she'll take a lifetime trying to starve herself. think before acting." - Harry Styles

it's hard to imagine that, but it's true, i have had some one who will remain nameless say that i was overweight and as stupid and playful as that sounds, i really took it seriously and it has made me reallyyyy self concious of my weight. this post isn't to get pity for myself or anything, cuz we all have had those words that really sting and hurt, and that can actually change our whole life.

here are some verses from James 3:

....."Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. 6 The tongue also is a fire".....

........"Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be"......

so i hope this inspired and encouraged you guys as it did me to think first before we say things to others!

have a happy, happy rest of the week!

Smiles,

NOELLE : )
